EDITORIAL - AIME X ICMFS

Bringing Disciplines Together to Shape the Future

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us in Paris on 17 and 18 June 2027, at the Palais des Congrès, for an exceptional scientific event bringing together the 9th AIME Congress and the 34th Congress of the International College for Maxillo-Facial Surgery – ICMFS.

This joint edition represents a particularly fruitful encounter between two complementary scientific identities. It reflects a shared ambition: to break down barriers between disciplines, compare experience, and foster a rigorous dialogue between aesthetic medicine, plastic and aesthetic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, dermatology, regenerative medicine, and innovative medical technologies.

Since its creation, AIME has promoted a broad and multidisciplinary approach to medical and surgical aesthetics. While the face naturally holds a central place, the congress also addresses body contouring, skin quality, regenerative treatments, intimate health, ageing, and, more broadly, all strategies that contribute to patients’ well-being, appearance, and quality of life.

The partnership with ICMFS will, at the same time, provide an exceptional opportunity to strengthen the maxillofacial dimension of the scientific programme. Facial surgery—whether reconstructive, functional, orthognathic, trauma-related, aesthetic, or gender-affirming—will be explored in all its richness and complexity.

Our ambition is to offer a truly multidisciplinary programme, bringing together different anatomical regions, medical and surgical techniques, technological innovations, and new approaches to prevention and ageing. Treatments can no longer be considered in isolation. They must form part of a comprehensive, coherent, personalised approach tailored to the expectations of each patient.

Renowned international experts will share their experience and present the latest advances in injectables, energy-based devices, aesthetic and maxillofacial surgery, regenerative medicine, facial and body contouring, skin treatments, and combined therapeutic strategies.

Particular emphasis will be placed on anatomy, safety, appropriate patient selection, complication prevention, and the objective assessment of outcomes. Innovation should never be an end in itself. It only becomes meaningful when grounded in knowledge, scientific rigour, clinical experience, and strong ethical principles.

Education and transmission of knowledge will also be central themes of this edition. We are committed to closely involving young physicians and surgeons, encouraging dialogue between generations, supporting mentorship, and strengthening international scientific collaboration. The sharing of knowledge and the open, constructive comparison of practices are essential to the advancement of our disciplines.

Beyond its scientific excellence, this congress will also provide a unique opportunity for personal encounters. Paris will offer an exceptional setting in which to share experiences, develop new projects, and strengthen the bonds of friendship that unite our international community.

Through this joint edition, we aim to create an open forum in which disciplines do not compete, but enrich one another. A forum in which medicine and surgery, aesthetics and reconstruction, innovation and experience, technology and humanity can come together in pursuit of one shared goal: improving the care of our patients.

We look forward to welcoming you in great numbers to celebrate science, education, innovation, and international collaboration.

Welcome to Paris, and welcome to AIME–ICMFS 2027.

INTERNATIONA (11).png

"What I appreciated the most was the interaction with key players in medical aesthetics, dermocosmetics, and regenerative medicine, who are both present and influential in France. The scientific rigor and quality of the presentations during the symposiums, as well as the discussions with the KOLs, were outstanding."

The AIME News’ collaborative newsletter is the new virtual meeting for our AIME community before we meet up again in Paris on 19th and 20th June at the Palais des Congrès for AIME Congress.

Its aim is to bring to life our DNA of innovation, knowledge and training, as well as our values of exchange and sharing, to make our practices grow. Therefore, each month we'll be sharing a point of view and strategic insight on a subject related to the scientific program of the AIME Paris 2025 conference.
